Been here three times, left happy each time. I'm a fried rice connoisseur. They did not fluff on the chicken fried rice. Some of their Shanghainese dishes stand out too like the tea-smoked half duck and fish filet in wine sauce. Only their pan fried pork buns wasn't juicy. That bears improvement. But consistent friendly service each visit.

New ownership about a year; tried a couple times and their food is very fresh, tasty and super delicious. Staff super courteous and fast services. A quiet atmosphere, family oriented and can accommodate large group. Plenty of parking spaces and easy access. I enjoy supporting small business in my neighborhood.

Big Fish is such a great spot. The portions are huge, which makes the slightly higher prices worth it. The food feels homemade--fresh ingredients, not salty, just really comforting and satisfying. Perfect for a cold day. The staff are super friendly, and it's clear this place is loved. While I was there, I saw tons of to-go orders going out, which makes sense because the food is delicious. The restaurant is also very clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be back. It's the kind of place that feels like a warm, reliable go-to.

My husband and I tried out one of our local Chinese restaurant. We had stir fry string beans and sizzling seafood with vegetables. The seafood dish was not sizzling but had good flavor. String beans very flavorful. Restaurant is nice and bright, clean. Service was good. Will go back and try other dishes.

I got a craving for beef chow fun I decided to go to big Fish Chinese Café, which used to be another beloved Chinese restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. My order was cooked quickly. It was still piping hot when I got home. The prices are a little higher than other Chinese restaurants, but the size of the order was generous, the box was packed full. And the amount of beef in my Beef chow fun was impressive. I saw a bunch of other items on their menu that looked really good so I'll be trying some on my next visit. Although I did not dine in, the restaurant looked clean and cheerful. Parking is easy. It's in a shopping center for Safeway. In addition to the amount of food, being generous, the ingredient were very fresh.

Yesterday, we decided to satisfy my wife's craving for honey walnut prawns, but unfortunately, her favorite spots were too far from home. so we ordered the walnut prawns and Peking spare ribs to go, and it was our first time visiting since the restaurant transitioned from Taste of China. Wow, were we in for a treat! Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The spare ribs had an incredible crunch, even with the sauce, and the shrimp was great! Given that this is a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised! We can't wait to return and explore more of the menu.

So this use to be Taste of China for the longest time and so I was very unmotivated to try this new place but tonight I was pleasantly surprised. The owner is such a nice person and so very accommodating. We are all vegetarian and my dad has very specific diet needs and the kitchen was so nice to accommodate us. We ordered various dishes without meat, sub tofu, no garlic and everything still turned out very delicious. It's nice and spacious inside and well lit. They have wonderful lunch specials and also some Chinese items that you're not able to find in south San Jose. Service is a little slow but I think we all know that all restaurants are dealing with staff shortages. So let's all be patient, enjoy each other's company and conversation. And the food. :) Saw a ton of to go business so the locals must really enjoy the take from here. Support your local Chinese small business!!!
